SHS Hall Of Fame Inductees
Sonora, CA — Sonora High School has chosen 11 people to induct into its sports Hall of Fame for 2014. The inductees will be honored at a banquet Saturday, November 1st, at the Sonora Elks Lodge. The social hour starts at 5:00pm and dinner is at 6:00pm.
Sonora High School’s 2014 Hall of Fame inductees:
Jack Wivell*, class of 1932
Jerry Woods, class of 1965
Tom Porter, class of 1966
Paul Chadwell, class of 1968
Dennis Marshall, class of 1975
Dina Pallante Pinocchio, class of 1979
Bob Kerner, class of 1979
Eric Aitken, class of 1990
Brett Perrault, class of 1992
Michael Baier, class of 2001
Kevin Rei, class of 2008

9 out of the 11 inductees this year live outside of Tuolumne County.
Sonora High has been doing Hall of Fame recognition for five years. The selection process is done by nomination. Applications are reviewed by a committee, if not selected they are kept for consideration for following years. Sonora High School Athletic Director Rick Francis says, “These people have done some phenomenal things when they participated for the Wildcats. I am lucky because I know a lot of these people because I graduated from Sonora High School, and then I have been here a long time.”
The public can get reservations for the Hall of Fame banquet by contacting Francis at extension (209)532-5511 ex. 187. Tickets are $40 for adults $20 for children 12 and under.
