Congressman Gary Condit has opened a campaign
office as he considers running for re-election.
Sources say Atwater Assemblyman Dennis Cardoza is leaning toward running regardless of Condit´s plans. Cardoza, a former aide to Condit, has said in the
past that he only would run if Condit stepped down.
