Veneman Praised by Ag Leaders

Farm leaders praised U.S. Agriculture Secretary Ann Veneman for what they called “major accomplishments,” and said they look forward to working with President Bush´s new choice for the position.
Veneman resigned Monday, after serving throughout the president´s first term.
California Farm Bureau President Bill Pauli said Veneman has “consistently served agriculture well.”
American Farm Bureau President Bob Stallman said Veneman has skillfully handled a variety of complex issues.
