Forest Service Holds Logging Meeting
Loggers, timber operators and the general public are invited to discuss forestry issues impacting the Stanislaus National Forest timber sale program for the year.
U.S. Forest Service spokesman Pat Kaunert says the issues to be addressed at the meeting include numbers from the forest timber sale program as well as accomplishments and goals to meet for the rest of the year.
Administrative changes on categorical exclusions for limited timber harvest and implementation of the Healthy Forests Restoration Act of 2003.
The meeting gets underway at the Forest Supervisor´s office on Greenley Road in Sonora, starting at 8:30 a.m.
