Twin Creeks Subdivision One Step Closer To Approval

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — California Gold along with Cabezut Partners, LLC gained a recommendation by the Tuolumne County Planning Commission and will now go before the Board of Supervisors for approval of their project.

The proposed Twin Creeks subdivision is expected to be 61 homes on 30 undeveloped acres east of Covey Circle on Cabezut Road. Dan Applebee with the Department of Fish and Game says he was not happy with the original proposal for the developer to replace every uprooted oak tree on the parcel with 50 more.

He says that 15 to 1 is much more manageable and also suggested adding fees to set aside through conservation easement or fee title. Developer Jim Todd says that although 15 is much less than 50; he feels the fees will make up the difference.

The Planning Commission voted 5 to 1 in favor of the recommendation after the developer agreed to explore various options concerning certain conditions placed on the plan. The Project will go before the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors in September.
