Gas Prices Down 29 Cents From Record High

Sponsored by:

Sacramento, CA — The cost of gasoline continues to decline according to a new report by AAA of Northern California; however they warn the falling prices may not last.

The statewide average cost of gasoline is now $2.36, that price is a decrease of 17 cents a gallon compared to the last AAA monthly report in May.

Fuel consumption tends to increase in the summer as consumers drive more and rising demand often boosts retail fuel prices.

The most expensive average gas price in Northern California is Eureka, where regular unleaded costs $2.49 per gallon.

The nationwide average price is now $2.13, which is 23 cents a gallon less than the California statewide average
