General Election Numbers Change

Sonora, CA — General Election numbers for Tuolumne County changed over the weekend because write-in candidates actually received double the number of votes they should have received.
County Clerk and Auditor Debi Russell says that due to the error, 276 votes have now been eliminated from the previously announced total.
No outcomes were altered, but in the race for Sheriff-Coroner, Jim Mele now wins the election by 117 votes rather than 106 over Tom Memmer.
