San Andreas, CA — Stockton officials have applied to take water from several sites in Calaveras County.
Calaveras officials will vote Monday whether to try and block the attempt.
The Stockton East Water District has applied with the State Water Resources Control Board to divert water from several spots in the county.
Calaveras Assistant County Counsel Janis Elliott says she´s recommending that the water be protected for future growth in Calaveras.
The Board of Supervisors meets at 9 a.m., Monday at the Government Center in San Andreas.
