Fire Safe Council Meeting Set For Thursday
Sonora, CA — The Highway 108 Fire Safe Council has scheduled a meeting for Thursday at 6PM at the Forest Service Bald Mountain Helitack Base, three miles north of Long Barn on Highway 108.
The purpose of the meeting, according to Jerry Tannhauser, the president of the Highway 108 FireSafe Council, is to provide private landowners and local fire agency officials with the opportunity to discuss, consider and form a strategic planning link that connects fire protection, emergency access routes, defensible space around homes and structures and additional fire prevention measures to support agency firefighting efforts.
Residents of Long Barn, Cold Springs, Peter Pam and Pinecrest are invited to the meeting.
