Calaveras Service Center Opens In Remote Area

West Point, CA — What would take 25-miles to receive Calaveras County services, will now be a short jaunt thanks to some forward thinking officials.
The Blue Mountain Community Service Center brings county services right into the neighborhood of West Point, Wilseyville, Glencoe and Rail Road Flat.
An open house detailing those services will be held Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. The center is located in downtown West Point across fro the newly painted Rebekah´s Hall.
The center opened in early March and has already helped 50 people.
Also available at the center are local churches, veterans´ assistance, job training, realtors, AARP and more.
