Sonora, CA — The Calaveras County Bomb Squad made another trip to Tuolumne County Monday to dismantle several explosive devices.

At 5:18pm the Sonora Police Department received a call that an individual had found a hand grenade and several other explosive devices while cleaning out the attic of her grandmother´s home on Stewart St. The hand grenade was World War II vintage. There were several other detonators in the bag in addition to an anti-tank round.

The Bomb Squad collected all the explosive devices and transported them to Calaveras County for destruction and disposal.
