Angels Camp, Ca — Assemblyman Tom Berryhill was the guest speaker at this afternoon´s Quarterly Business Luncheon hosted by the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce.
Berryhill praised a recently passed prison reform bill which will add 53,000 additional beds in the state´s prison system.
Other topics of discussion included local jail funding, the timber industry, a newly introduced metal theft bill and building coalitions with other lawmakers. The lunch was held at Greenhorn Creek in Angels Camp.
Berryhill is a fourth generation California farmer who represents the Assembly´s 25th District.
