Plainview Slash Site To Reopen
Sonora, CA — The Plainview Slash Site, located on Hwy 108 across from the west entrance to Twain Harte, will reopen Friday, May 18.
Operating hours will be from 9am to 3pm every Friday through Monday through September 30.
Permissible items include leaves, pine needles, brush, trees, stumps along with clean and unpainted/untreated lumber. There will be a $5 charge per cubic yard.
The flammable material will be ground into fuel to power clean-burning cogeneration plants at Ultra Power in Chinese Camp and Sierra Pacific Industries in Standard.
A portion of the material will be chipped into garden mulch, compost and other landscape products.
