Jamestown, CA — As of 10am Thursday there is still no sign of 35 year old George Landecho Lopez who escaped from the Sierra Conservation during the two o´clock hour Wednesday.

According to Lt. Jimmy Hurtado the 35 year old, five foot 11 inch 165 pound inmate was classified as low-risk. He is serving a five year sentence for being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm, disregard for safety and failure to appear for a court date.

Wednesday afternoon and evening the Sierra Conservation Center staff enlisted the help of a CHP helicopter to conduct a search but Lopez was not located.

He was last seen wearing a green jumpsuit symbolic of a prisoner who is permitted outside the Center´s walls.
