Sacramento, CA — According to the National Weather Service the threat of strong thunderstorms will continue this weekend over the Sierra Nevada. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop each afternoon.
These thunderstorms will likely contain very heavy rain at times along with hail and strong winds. This heavy rainfall could cause a rapid rise in small creeks and streambeds.
Hikers and campers need to pay special heed to this warning.
