Columbia Airport Hopes To Receive Stimulus Funding

Sponsored by:

Columbia, CA — Columbia Airport hopes to receive $853,000 from the Federal Stimulus Package to extend a waterline that runs along the back of the facility.

The waterline would be used for fire protection, and help to ensure the safety of existing buildings and new hangars. If approved, the project would be funded 100 percent.

The Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 to submit an application to the FAA at Tuesday’s meeting.
