Columbia, CA– The suspicious incident involving a possible child abduction attempt in Columbia Tuesday has proven to be unfounded. After hearing his description on the news, the man who was suspected, contacted the Sheriff’s Office to explain his actions.
The investigation revealed that while on his way to work he was concerned that a young girl had missed her bus at the bus stop. After asking if she had missed her bus, the girl said no and walked away. The man did notice adults nearby but continued on his way to work. Sheriff’s investigators were satisfied with his story and concluded that there was no criminal intent.
