Clear Those Trees

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — It’s full speed ahead for the Tuolumne County Public Works Department.

Thanks to Mother Nature dumping snow in the foothills overnight crews are in the process of clearing trees before the snow plows can complete their task.

According to Spokesperson Carol Jackson the main problem in the MiWuk-Confidence area is the still energized power lines that were felled by trees due to the heavy, wet snow. P.G.& E. crews are already backlogged so “patience” is the key word.

Plows have already made their way along Kewin Mill-Phoenix Lake Rd. areas.

Crews are working as quickly as possible given that another system is forecast to hit the Mother Lode later today.
