Sex Offender Arrest In Columbia

Sponsored by:

Columbia, CA– A man was arrested in Columbia this week for failing to register as a sex offender.

Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Detectives received information from the San Jose Police Department that Roger Thomas, a convicted sex offender had relocated to Tuolumne County and had failed to register at his new address as required by law.

Detectives drove by 11437 Columbia Village Drive where Thomas was believed to be living, and saw a vehicle registered to him in the carport. A second vehicle seen in the driveway was also registered to Thomas.

Several detectives and a marked patrol unit went to the house and made contact with Thomas. He was arrested without incident and transported to Tuolumne County Jail on charges of failing to register as a sex offender and an outside agency warrant.
