Jacksonville Road Closure Due To T.U.D. Project
Jamestown, CA — A stretch of Jacksonville Road will be closed this week as the Tuolumne Utilities District continues work on the Quartz-Stent Water Main Extension Project.
The portion of Jacksonville Road, between Dutch Mine Road and Stent Cut-off Road, will be blocked off from 7am-4pm. Local residents, and those trying to get to a local business within the closure area, will be allowed through. School bus routes, and pickup locations, will remain the same. A marked detour will be set up for all other traffic, utilizing Algerine Road.
T.U.D. hired Mozinga Construction to install the new water main. The project started in November and entails the installation of approximately 12,000 linear ft. of water main, with the potential to connect over 100 properties. The project should be completed by the end of April, weather permitting.
