Timber industry officials are unhappy with Agriculture undersecretary Mark Rey´s decision to uphold the Sierra Nevada Framework. They say the plan does not allow enough thinning to protect forests from catastrophic fires. Forest Chief Dale Bosworth has directed a study of increasing thinning under the original plan.
