Authorities say a state prison riot at Lancaster in which five inmates were critically injured, may have escalated to 300 to 400 prisoners due to racial unrest.
The fight yesterday reportedly began among white inmates. But a state prison spokesman said groups of black and Hispanic inmates used the opportunity to attack each other.
