Sponsored by:

As election day quickly draws near, AM 1450 KVML radio news in Sonora will present two live political debates featuring the candidates from both Tuolumne County supervisor races.

Tomorrow, Supervisor District 3 candidates Jerry Morrow and Jim Peterson will face off for the 90 minute live debate starting at 12:30 p.m.

Wednesday, October 30, the District 2 supervisor candidates, incumbent Don Ratzlaff and challenger Paolo Maffei will debate. That live 90 minute broadcast will also begin at 12:30 p.m.

“The debates are a way of extending the community´s voice, allowing a much larger audience for such an important exchange of the political issues in this up-coming election,” said KVML News Director Joseph Kreiss.

Kreiss, along with KVML Anchor/Reporter Steve Elliott, will moderate the debates and question the supervisor hopefuls.

Each day´s debates will also be streamed live on MyMotherLode.com for those outside the KVML broadcast area who may want to listen. The Web stream can be accessed by going to www.MyMotherLode.com and clicking on KVML and then clicking on “Listen Live.”
