Man Thrown Off Boat Still Missing, Suspect Arrested
A man was arrested Sunday after he allegedly threw another man off a party boat into San Francisco Bay. The U.S. Coast Guard searched half the night and Sunday with helicopters and a cutter for the missing victim. Police say 275 people were aboard the boat for a Halloween party cruise, when witnesses say the man was thrown over a railing about 11:30 pm Saturday night.
The boat operated by a private cruise company was offshore from Pacific Bell Park when the incident occurred. Police arrested the suspect when the boat Royal Prince returned to its pier after circling in a fruitless search for the missing man. The arrested man was being held for investigation of murder.
