Armed And Dangerous Man In Custody

A 44-year-old Avery man, a parolee at large, is behind bars after Calaveras County deputies arrested him following a traffic stop on Williams Street in Murphys.
Deputies pulled over Dennis Claborn for a vehicle equipment malfunction. Authorities say Claborn had no identification on him. After a search of the vehicle deputies discovered a prescription bottle with his name. Deputies found out he had a confirmed arrest warrant issued and was considered armed and dangerous. Claborn was taken into custody without incident. He is being held without bail.
