Fair Gets Off To A Great Start
The 2002 edition of the Mother Lode Fair got off to a sizzling start Thursday, as temperatures, although not as hot as the day before, hit the 105-degree mark.
Highlighting the fair´s kick-off was the Miss Tuolumne County Pageant, which saw Jennifer Grant crowned this year´s queen.
The popular Redline truck pulls had motor sport fans cheering, and musically, the Blues Brothers tribute duo, Briefcase Full of Blues, had fairgoers rockin´.
Friday, the fair gates open at 4 p.m., featuring the truck pulls in the Grandstand arena and Lynsey Bostick on the Sonora Stage.
