U-C Cuts Tuition For Illegals

The U-C Regents have approved a plan that will allow illegal immigrants to pay the same amount of tuition as state residents. That will add up to a savings of more than $11,000.00. The controversial decision by the Regents, who are meeting at U-C-L-A, comes after Governor Gray Davis and the state Legislature approved a similar plan for Cal State schools and community colleges. As part of the plan, immigrants will be required to prove they are filing for legal residency.
