Davis Confident, Waits as Ballot is Shaping Up

Governor Davis told reporters yesterday that he s confident and focused on doing his job.
“I trust the voters of California,” Davis said. He said there will be some time spent campaigning. But, “I m going to spend most of my time over the next 60 days working to improve their (the citizens) lives,” Davis said. “I hope to spend the next three-and-a-half years doing that.”
“All these other people are running for governor,” Davis said. “I am the governor, and I m going to use my time to do the job as well as humanly possible.”
Davis also said he ll wait to make any definite comment about other candidates until the ballot is finalized.
