A poll commissioned by a San Francisco-based organization indicates the majority of American workers think their jobs are secure despite the war in Iraq.
The poll will be released today by the Employment Law Alliance, a network of employment and labor lawyers. It was conducted a few days before the fighting erupted last Wednesday. The nationwide poll of one thousand Americans found that 84 percent of those surveyed are not worried about losing their jobs becaue of the war.
The poll also says 89 percent believe they can openly express their opinions about the war without fear of retailiation from their employers. In other findings, 81 percent say they don´t think anti-Arab discrimination has increased in their workplaces since the threat of war erupted.
