Men Found Innocent of Airtank Pilot Murder
The men accused of setting a deadly fire in Mendocino County during the summer of 2001 have been found innocent of murder.
Frank Brady and Richard Mortensen were charged with killing two pilots, whose air tankers collided midair when they were fighting the blaze west of Hopland.
A jury Thursday did find that Brady was guilty of arson for starting the fire while making methamphetamine. He and Mortensen were also convicted on drug charges.
