Another derailment for the Sierra Railroad this week.
This morning two locomotives derailed at the South Washington Street crossing near near the Sonora post office, J.S. West Symons and Tuolumne General Hospital.
Traffic trying to get into the downtown Sonora area had to use a different way into town. The intersection was blocked for about an hour until railroad crews were able to get the locomotives back on track.
Earlier this week five railcars loaded with 100 tons of logs each derailed west of Sonora, closing the line for about a day.
