Perfect Weather For the Parade

Sponsored by:

It´s official…Another one in the history books. The 2003 Mother Lode Round-up Parade organizers couldn´t have asked for any better weather than what the thousands of spectators enjoyed Saturday morning along Washington Street.

After days of non-stop rain and clouds, it was nothing but blue skies and temperatures in the low 70 degrees at parade time.

Over 160 entries participated in this year´s Mother Lode Roundup Parade, including the Summerville School Band, the Sonora High School Golden Regiment Band, local dignitaries, custom cars, color guards, queens, plus clowns and horses by the dozens.

As is with tradition, the E Clampus Vitus Chapter 1849 Matuca brought up the end of the parade with their giant American Flag, always a patriotic sight.
