Tuolumne Man Dies Following Friday Crash
A 95 year-old Tuolumne resident injured in a traffic accident Friday afternoon has died from his injuries.
The CHP reports Eugene Vert was a passenger in a 1994 GMC Jimmy, driven by 76 year-old Pearl Humley on Tuolumne Road.
A 1999 Volvo sedan driven by 79 year-old Los Altos resident William Alhouse Sr. and passenger 77 year-old Barbara Alhouse had stopped at Morris Road, did not see the on-coming truck and pulled onto the roadway directly into the path of the GMC , causing the collision. The vehicle then slid off the roadway and hit several trees
Officers say none of the occupants were wearing seat belts, but Vert was the only person who suffered serious injury. CHP say he later died at Tuolumne General Hospital from his injuries.
