Farmers and ranchers will appreciate the new state budget for some things it doesn´t contain, according to the California Farm Bureau.
The Farm Bureau praised the budget for avoiding tax increases and preventing many new fees from being imposed. At one time, the budget plan included an array of new fees that were eventually dropped.
The budget package also repeals an assessment imposed last year, which the Farm Bureau challenged in court as an illegal property tax.
