There were no injuries but there were suspicious circumstances in Calaveras County, after a fire in the evening hours Thursday.
The fire was first dispatched at 6:42 Thursday night.
Firefighters responded to Railroad Flat Road and Ridge Road to a call of a fully-involved outbuilding.
Residents living nearby were working to keep the fire from spreading to the wildland when firefighters arrived.
Unconfirmed reports from the scene indicated a person had been living in the building but had been evicted.
In addition, civilians at the scene reportedly told firefighters that arson may have been the cause of the fire but that hasn´t been confirmed either.
The Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department is investigating the blaze.
