Modesto Detective Back On Stand

The lead detective assigned to investigate Laci Peterson´s disappearance is due back on the stand this morning for another day of cross-examination.
Modesto Police Detective Craig Grogan returns for the fourth day of questioning by defense attorney Mark Geragos.
During yesterday´s session, Geragos tried to pick apart the prosecution´s case by asking the detective about some of the difficulties police faced in the investigation.
Grogan acknowledged that because there was no bloody crime scene, police had considered the possibility that Laci was poisoned by her husband.
The detective also admitted investigators did not follow up on a number of reported sightings of Laci on the day she disappeared.
