FBI Investigating UPA Explosion, Vandalism

Sponsored by:

Authorities are still looking for the culprit following a series of vandalism incidents at the Utica Power Authority´s water system.

That´s the organization that delivers water to customers in Angels and Murphys.

It started November 11th, when an explosion took place near a water ditch outside of Forest Meadows.

The cause and motive for the explosion have not been determined.

Other vandalism includes the opening of a locked gate by someone who apparently had a key.

Workers also reportedly found washers and bolts removed from one of the flume boxes last week.

New security measures are being taken, and the FBI is now looking into the vandalism, because the Angels Creek system is owned and operated by the federal government.
