Peterson Trial: Deliberations About To Start
The defense will return after a lunch break to continue presenting its closing arguments in the penalty phase of Scott Peterson´s murder trial.
Pat Harris gave the first portion of the closing arguments for the defense, which is trying to save Peterson from the death penalty.
Mark Geragos will pick up where Harris left off when the jury returns from lunch.
This morning, the prosecution reminded the jury that it was two years ago today that Peterson bought a boat as he initiated his plan to kill his pregnant wife, Laci Peterson.
After the defense finishes with its closing arguments, jurors will get their instructions.
Then the jury will be sequestered in a hotel while they deliberate whether the 32-year-old Peterson should be sentenced to death or to life in prison without parole.
