Reagan Funeral On Local Radio

Here is the updated schedule of events that will be carried on AM 1450 KVML radio regarding the coverage of Ronald Reagan´s funeral:


2 p.m. – 3 p.m., Sean Hannity will monitor the arrival of the aircraft (carrying Ronald Reagan´s casket) at Andrews Air Force Base

ABC News Coverage, 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Formal Funeral Procession

The Procession Route in Washington DC from Andrews Air Force Base to the US Capitol with casket transfer onto horse-drawn caisson at 1600 Constitution Ave.

4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

State Funeral Ceremony

A State Funeral Ceremony will then be held in the Capitol Rotunda. House Minority leader Nancy Peolsi will join Majority leader Tom Delay in leading the House members from their chambers to the rotunda. They will be joined by California Rep Jerry Lewis (the senior member of California´s 53-member House delegation. Behind him will come the rest of the California House delegation followed by the rest of the 435 member House.

Speakers at the Ceremony will be Vice President Dick Cheney, House Speaker Dennis Hastert and Senate President Pro Tem Ted Stevens.

Following the Funeral Ceremony the doors will be opened for public viewing lasting through Thursday.


8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., National Funeral Service

The National Funeral Service at Washington National Cathedral. President George W Bush is scheduled to speak. Also in attendance will be former Presidents Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, George Bush and Bill Clinton. Friday has been declared a National day of Mourning. Federal and State Offices will be closed.

5:00 p.m., The Burial of Ronald Reagan

Ronald Reagan will be buried at the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley California.


7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Farewell to A President

One Hour Special Retrospective: A final tribute and look back on the week´s events since Ronald Reagan´s death last Saturday.
