Rape Case Against Young Dismissed

San Andreas, CA — San Andreas Fire Chief Erie Donald Young is a free man now that the rape charges against him have been dropped.
The District Attorney´s motion to dismiss the case against Young was granted today by the Superior Court. Last month, the first jury in Young´s trial was unable to reach a verdict and the prosecution concluded that a second trial would end in the same way.
During the trial Young consistently maintained his innocence, while serving as chief of the San Andreas Fire District.
