Water Canal To Be Shut Down Monday

Sonora, CA — Pacific Gas and Electric will shut down the Main Canal from Monday October 17th through Monday October 24th.
PG&E officials say they will shut down the main canal yearly for regular maintenance. The only source of water for TUD will be from storage tanks, reservoirs and wells.
TUD is asking residents to conserve during this period by limiting outside watering and refraining from washing cars. PG&E says conservation during the week will help provide enough water supply for drinking, sanitary use, and fire protection.
