Diesel Prices Still Rising
Sonora, CA — Truck drivers and owners of diesel vehicles are feeling the sting of rising prices as diesel prices hover around the $3 dollar-a-gallon mark.
AAA says the price of diesel has risen nearly 37 cents over the past four weeks. The highest prices in the state can be found in Yolo County where a gallon of diesel costs $3.02 a gallon.
That´s 4 cents above the statewide average of $2.98. The rise in prices is hitting especially hard in the state´s farming community as many growers prepare for harvest.
The spike in diesel prices is expected to add to the cost of shipping, which, in turn, may cause higher prices at the grocery store.
