Sonora’s Dunlavy Field Will Soon Be Green
Sonora, CA — The installation of the new football field at Sonora High School´s Dunlavy Field is back on track after a slight delay last week.
School Principal Terry Clark says the construction crew is making great progress with the drainage rock and the turf itself will be installed soon.
They are anticipating that by Wednesday the field will be entirely green; however there is still work to be done, and money to be raised.
School Principal Terry Clark says he is confident that the community will help make the dream come true.
He says they still need $1.2 million to “Complete The Dream,” which includes new lights a new track and a new softball field.
Clark says the next fundraiser will be at the completed field on August 26th. There will be games, food, prizes, and of course scrimmages to test out the field.
