Minor Injuries Follow 2 DUI Wrecks
Two people received minor injuries following DUI accidents over the weekend.
40-year-old Lynn Thompson of Copperopolis was driving her husband´s Ford F-350 pickup, when she lost control due to her intoxication, according to the California Highway Patrol. The truck hit a dirt embankment and sustained major front-end damage. Thompson went to Tuolumne General Hospital for pain to the back and neck.
And 31-year-old David Berger, also of Copperopolis, was hurt Saturday afternoon, when his 2003 Chevy to drift into the median. He overcorrected, went over an embankment, and the vehicle rolled over before coming to rest on its wheels. Berger suffered a cut to the head, and was taken to Doctors Hospital in Modesto.
Both Thompson and Berger were arrested for driving under the influence.
