American Idol Contestant Apologizes For Hotel Food Fight
Sacramento, CA — Former “American Idol” contestant Corey Clark apologized Tuesday for what he says was a weekend food fight that got out of control and landed him a citation for battery.
Sacramento police dispute Clark´s account of the incident. His publicist says the crew and dancers were just blowing off steam when they trashed a Sacramento hotel room.
Clark calls the incident “a huge misunderstanding.” The police say Clark was fighting with the co-owner of his record company, throwing food and dishes and screaming.
She suffered marks on her arms. Clark is to appear in Sacramento County Superior Court July 22 on the citation for misdemeanor battery. He faces up to six months in jail and a thousand-dollar fine if he is convicted.
