2006 Tuolumne County Health Fair Opens
Sonora, CA — Some 4,000 plus Mother Lode residents are expected to attend the two-day 2006 Tuolumne County Health Fair opening today at the Fairgrounds. Co-Chair Kathy Amos says attendees can have height and weight checked along with their vision and bone density.
Additional health screenings include but are not limited to asthma and pulse oximetry, blood pressure, cataract evaluation, hematology, foot care, hemoccult from the American Cancer Society and spinal evaluation.
To accomodate work schedules, the blood draw began at 5am today and will start at the same time tomorrow. General hours for the community sponsored Fair, now in its 28th year, are 7am to 3pm. Flu shots through the Tuolumne County Health Department will be available for those 60 years and older.
