High Speed Chase Ends With Arrest

Sonora, CA — 21 year old Robert Ryan Christian of Sonora is behind bars after leading law enforcement officers on a high speed chase that lasted 20 minutes this morning just prior to the noon hour.
Deputy Alex Rivera attempted to stop Christian´s Suzuki RS motorcycle on Forest Rd. west of Stockton. Instead of yielding, Christian accelerated north on Forest Rd. The chase did not end until deputies arrested Christian outside a trailer court off Old Melones Dam Rd.
Deputies have yet to determine why Christian fled after the initial stop.
