Power Conservation Is A Must During Heat Wave
Sonora, CA — Mother Lode residents should cut down on using their air conditioners this weekend.
The California Independent Service Operator announced a power watch in effect until Monday. Officials say the reason for the action is the high use of air conditioning throughout the state.
The ISO is predicting a Stage One emergency to happen Monday, which calls for conservation.
If residents don´t comply, a Stage Two emergency can be called, which is the interruption of some commercial and industrial customer´s power.
In a Stage Three emergency, officials say rolling blackouts should be expected.
