Toddler Uninjured After Hitting Tree In Car

Sonora, CA — The toddler who went for a ride down the driveway and into a tree in the family car is uninjured.

Tom Wills with the Highway Patrol says the child was placed in the car and somehow put it in gear, causing it to roll down a steep driveway and into a tree.

Wills says although the toddler is uninjured, it could have been a fatal accident. He is advising parents to use extreme caution when it comes to children and vehicles.

With the soaring temperatures, Wills would also like to remind Mother Lode residents that leaving a child unattended in a vehicle is against the law.
