Modesto Woman Injured in Hwy. 4 Crash
Angels Camp, CA — A Modesto woman is recovering from injuries she received after she crashed her car on Highway 4 near Angels Camp Sunday.
The California Highway Patrol reports 24-year-old Roxanne Rodriquez was intoxicated when she was driving her 1996 Ford Escort at 6:45 p.m. westbound on Highway 4 near Stallion Road.
Rodriguez and her passenger, 25-year-old James Pearson also of Modesto, were having an argument and pulled over to the shoulder of the road.
Pearson took the keys from Rodriguez and got out of the car. Rodriguez also got out, took the keys back and proceeded to drive away. Pearson then jumped into the backseat of the car.
Rodriguez continued but was unable to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The Escort ran off the right side of the road and up an embankment before flipping onto its roof in the roadway.
Rodriguez was treated for minor injuries at Mark Twain St. Joseph´s Hospital in San Andreas.
